Hi,

I use mutt as a newsreader. Works fine so far, but I increasingly get
annoyed by insane posters on some groups. Is it possible to block them with
mutt?

If you want scoring and the ability to "killfile" posters, slrn might
be a better choice:

Yeah. Mutt for mail and slrn for news -- that's the combo I've used for
the past two decades.

mutt has a scoring feature, see section 3.24 of the manual. I have not
used it though so I can't say how well it works.
